Last time I went through my supplies was a couple months ago when I gave my sister a few of my things to help her get started on a scrapbook for her soon to be new baby!

I purge everytime I move, which as you know, has been a lot lately! I gave about half of my supplies to our babysitter who wanted to start scrapbooking but didn't really have the money to start.

Funny you should ask.... I just purged pattern paper, gave them to a friend who is taking her first steps in scrap booking and she is finding it overwhelming to decide what to buy so I helped her out a little LOL LOL!

I purge my supplies twice a year ~ just before each CHA trade show. It's getting to be that time of year for me, too, with the show coming up in July. Not every purge is a major purge since I get better and better about zeroing in on what speaks to me and my style, but I like to clear out the visual clutter and make room for some new goodies.

My last big purge was in January -- we were looking for houses and I realized I needed to downsize my supplies. I still have the two boxes of stuff here, but the plan is that one goes to my mother-in-law and one goes to my sister once I get around to shipping it out. :)

I try to purge regularly like every 3 months or so (for RAKs on my blog) and for an annual yard sale that a friend of mine holds at her scrapbook retreat. We too just startd to get the thunder & rain about 10 min ago -it's so needed & I don't mind the cool down so....

It's been a while since I purged. I am in a more of a collecting phase. For me, using more is a challenge. So, while I don't think I need to purge yet, I do need to re-organize to create more space for what I've collected.

ReplyDeleteI purged just this past week. I had emptied out my studio because we were painting the ceiling and moving the slat wall, and I purged as I put stuff back. I now have 6 boxes of craft/art/scrappy stuff sitting on the steps to go to my daughter's friend for her garage sale!!

ReplyDeleteI very recently purged my patterned paper. I had a whole bunch of older stuff that I bought when I was just starting out and it didn't suit me any longer. I let my girls go through it and the rest we gave away. In the process I found a whole bunch of papers I had forgotten I had and love so I now have the joy of using the stuff I really like without wading through a pile of stuff I'll never use.

Ooh I love purges. I purge pretty often because I tend to only use my new supplies for the most part. I always keep a stash of stuff I'm thinking about purging and when I have friends come over I left them dig through it for finds they might want to use. It's good for them and good for my stash :)
