First off, let me tell you a love story.
Several months ago, before CHA Winter, whispers began about Crate Paper's newest release, the Restoration line. During the show itself, bloggers showed glimpses of the line and how it was used. I pretty much had a conniption fit. I love this line. I love the colors, the images, the peacefulness and energy at once that it conveys. Love.
So I decided to use this very loved line to create a page about a very loved person--you guessed it, the 'ol hubby!
The title is a quote: "If I know what love is, it is because of you" (Herman Hesse). The journaling reads: This time with you, this loving and growing, is the whole point of my life. The most wonderful and magnificent thing I've ever done. Thank you for showing me what love can be.
Before I sat down to create this page, I made a little "kit" to go with my Crate products, including several packs of Thickers, Evalicious buttons, other embellies, and Pink Paislee artisan tape. That way, I have a whole little pile to go off when I get started!
This next page was my Sketchy Thursdays combo last week. Go here to see the sketch and the amazing takes on it!
Used the new Studio Calico label stamps on this one and had so much fun!
And now, I'm off to scrap!
And PS-- I'm inordinately proud of myself for going to a scrapbook store today and only spending $6.53. That's right, my friends! Has that ever happened successfully to you?
If I have a purpose in mind and to not just aimlessly stroll the aisles, I have left the store spending very little. It's when I have the time that I get in trouble!
ReplyDeleteLove your layouts! I've said it before and I will say it many times again...you are so talented!:-)
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with how little you spent. Wow!
Less than $7? How is that possible? ;)
ReplyDeletewow! $7 less than. *bowing to you in homage*.love your lo!
ReplyDeleteI have the same feeling about that Crate line (although I haven't used any yet). I can't wait to use it. Love the layouts. Lately, I haven't been spending too much $ at LSS...luckily. I'm spending the same online though so I'm still not proud of myself!! ha!
ReplyDeletelove the layouts and to answer the question, NEVER! I get suckered in every time by PAPER!!!
ReplyDeleteOh i love these layouts!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't really live near a scrapping store, I really splurge when I do get to go to one... so less than $7? Nope, never happens:)
ReplyDeleteI also used that Sketchy Thursdays sketch.

ReplyDeleteNo, I couldn't do that, because I only get to a scrapbook store like once a year, so my tab is usually huge...
No, not recently. I think the last 3 shopping trips were all over $20... yep, one came in at $50, but I did buy a card for my Slice. Love your layouts!
