'Cause I sure haven't! Maybe it's because the hubby was gone, or because I've been sleep deprived, or general doldrums--but whatever the reason, my creative juices were NOT flowing this week.
I made these two layouts, but I don't like them that much. I was debating even posting them, but it's all part of the artistic process, right?
So if you happen to see good old Mo slinking around central New Jersey, do send him over.
Tell him I miss him.
And that I want him back BADLY!
All right?

If I Had a Million Dollars.....
I would get one of these.
Oh, heck. I would get one of these.
I would buy all of Lisa Leonard's necklaces. Every single stinkin' one. And then wear them all at the same time!
Or not.
I'd buy a new bed, because mine is broken. And maybe I'd get a cool tree-bed while I'm at it. (Source = http://www.slmetalworks.com/index.html)
I'd buy all of the Studio Calico kits every month. And then a scrapbook storage room to house them.
I'd get all sorts of pretty little numbers, like corsage necklaces.
(Source = http://www.etsy.com/shop/miashoebox)
And handmade satin purses.
(Source = http://www.etsy.com/shop/DavieandChiyo)
If I had a million dollars, I could have everything I've ever needed to be really, really happy.
But wait--
I already do.

A Baker's Dozen
Well, I don't actually have a dozen layouts. I have four. But considering we had houseguests all weekend, that's pretty good!
The page above is an ode to Anthropologie. Before I got into scrapbooking, I didn't fully appreciate Anthro's wonders. But now, I walk through the store sighing and gazing and wistfully examining price tags. I never really buy anything (most items violate my student-budget $30 rule) but I leave inspired.
This next one records my husband's anniversary gift to me and what it meant.
And now we have an "ode to mist." Love the stuff. The pink looked really red in the bottle (S commented the sink resembled a murder scene) but it actually does spray pink, thankfully.
To get this effect, I placed the frames backwards on the paper--that way they could still be used on a page later. I want to hoard each and every one of those precious frames.
And the last, and smallest page:
Abbsparks over at Studio Calico inspired me with her 8.5 by 11 page featuring this doily paper, so I went off that and changed up the design and other products. Those Sass felties are almost too pretty to use, but use them I must!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Any exciting plans? I'm also looking out for some good books, if you have any recommendations!

Etsy Inspiration
From: http://www.etsy.com/shop/evalicious
Etsy is so full of color and design inspiration--here are few of the things that are inspiring me right now!
The flowers above are from evalicious, one of my favorite etsy shops. Her scrapbooking embellishments are so pretty!
From: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39098194
I recently purchases some of these (in teal, lagoon, sand, powder pink, and one more I'm forgetting) to make our bedroom more fun and romantic and less functional. I figure hanging pom poms should accomplish that.

Now, wouldn't you like to receive a package tied this way? I certainly would. So pretty!

I was looking at these hair clips over and over for a few days, during which my sweet hubby surprised me by buying them! They are beautiful in person and I can't wait to wear them with a dressy outfit on Shabbat.
I'll be back in a day or two with new layouts--I'm waiting for good light to photograph them!
Is there still a lot of snow where you live? Did you have a good Valentine's Day? I love getting to know blog readers, so come say hi!

Product Frenzy and some New Pages
This is what my scraproom looks like after an SC box has come in--recognize the look of pure joy on my face? :)
This page is a little more personal, and has flowers on it because I was in a flower mood. Very sophisticated design process here.
This next one I started out LOVING and then HATING. My husband suggested I put it away for a while and let the poor thing regain its' self esteem. Do you all ever have it happen that you just can't stand a page? I also made it with a design team call in mind, which only exacerbates the whole thing. Oy vey.
I also have been thinking about my whole angst about publishing pages--when I got a page picked up by Scrapbook Trends last months, I was over the moon. Then, I got a call this month for the Stamping book but none for the issue itself, even though I emailed it tons of pages I really loved. It's hard to step back and not take things personally sometimes. It also shows how when it comes to looking for some sort of external validation, nothing will ever be enough. It just has to come from the inside.
Now if only I can make another page I like....

Hola!
I'm back from Mexico! The wedding was beautiful, the skies were blue, the sand was soft.....ok, I'll stop now. New Jersey has its perks too.
Now, for some scrappy stuff:
I used the January Studio Calico kit, Whodunit, to make this mini album summarizing 2009, which was also our first year of marriage.
I also made this quick wall hanging, inspired by the wonderful Becky Novacek. It took 5 minutes (with the help of Mr. Slicey) and I love how it turned out!
In other news, I'm getting the results of my fertility bloodwork tomorrow, so hopefully I will have some good tidings to share!

Oh Romeo, Romeo.....parting is such sweet sorrow
I'm in withdrawal from not scrapping enough these past few weeks. Unfortunately, my law school professors do not seem to understand my need for more time cutting up paper in a happy little mess. Sigh.
This is the latest creation I've managed to make out of 20 minute spurts of time. My husband calls me his ray of sunshine, and since that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside I wanted to get it down on a page. I used Maya Mist in sunflower on this one, along with paper scraps from Studio Calico's January kit, Whodunit. I added in a thicker alphabet that was in an older kit.
Hope you are all having a fabulous week! The hubster and I are off to Cancun for a cousin's wedding at the end of the week, so if I seem to fall of the face of the earth, that's why!
